Home from Home Delicious and Nutritious Cuisine

All of our food is delivered fresh three times a week from Sainsbury’s.  Fresh fruit and vegetables are offered daily and meals are cooked and cakes baked by one of our two qualified (or qualifying) cooks.  The food is simply delicious!  We receive countless compliments on how good the food looks and smells.   

We believe in the fundamentals of good quality food that is fresh, delicious and nutritious – the basis of good health.  Our principles of caring are underlined by our use of only free range eggs and chickens.   

The menu is created by and for the people living at Copper Beeches – they tell us what they want included.  The menu changes weekly as well as seasonally.  

Food safety is a priority and our standards are extremely high.  Copper Beeches has just received a '5' rating from Plymouth City Council Environmental Health using their Scores on the Doors scheme.  The scheme is based on six different ratings (six tiers) which reflects the range of standards that may be found. At the bottom of the scale is 0 which means urgent improvement is required. At the top of the scale is 5 which means hygiene standards are very good putting Copper Beeches in the top level for any food serving establishment in Plymouth.   You can see the certificate here:  Food Hygiene Rating Certificate .  Ratings are displayed on the Food Standards Agency Food Hygiene Rating Scheme website at: http://ratings.food.gov.uk/ .
